Sherri Felton

I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in EMDR and sports counseling. I earned a BA in Psychology at UAA in 1995 and worked as a para-professional counselor at the Alaska Women's Resource Center for 3 years after that. In 2008 I completed a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from APU. I have had a keen interest in people since I was young - specifically helping people be all they can be. I know what it's like to experience barriers to personal fulfillment, to recognize them, to eventually learn how to remove them. I know what it's like to be an athlete, I know what it's like to be a mom, a daughter, a sister, an employee in the non-profit world as well as the corporate world. I have come to recognize that the journey of life is fraught with challenges and that sometimes we need help to recognize and remove the emotional barriers that impede our ability to lead fulfilled joyous lives.

Since the relationship between a counselor and the client is the basis for the work done during therapy, I will provide a confidential, calming space to promote relationship growth.
